GTU cancels May 20, 21 exams citing power outages – Times of India

AHMEDABAD: After cancelling two exams earlier, Gujarat Technological University (GTU) has now decided to cancel examinations on May 20 and May 21 as well.

While the university cancelled the exams on May 18 and May 19 as a precautionary measure due to Tauktae, it has decided to cancel again owing to the destruction caused by the cyclone.

“Many villages and towns are facing power cuts and there is a disruption in phone and internet services,” said a GTU official. “As a result, many students will face great difficulties if the university were to continue its exams as scheduled.”
